Subject: greasers aplenty
story of peer presure and the courage to do whats right . Unrealistic in the scene where the boys pick up some chicks and instead of trying to get in thier pants 2 of the boys have a moral deliema and say no to beer (and the good times in backseats that come along with drunkin dates). I love the quote from the girl when the boy asks how many beers do you think are being opened around the world right now and she answers "Probablly thousands if you count Germany and Switzerland".

Subject: Grease is the word!
Very strange telling of a school jock deciding on what is right and wrong. The jock lives with his mother (who does tongue exercises when thinking out loud). He goes out with 2 other lads from his school and, after a couple of root beers at the local Big Boy, pick up a couple of hot chicks and head over to the next town for beer. His subconcious though keeps telling him that wild girls and beer are not good for morals. When they get the beer, the girl the jock winds up with has the line of the film by saying totally unconvingly (I guess that was the point) "Mmmm Beer" The film sort of ends with the 'What Would You Do?' title card. But wait! This film, for a change, comes back and tells us what the jock DOES! (which is a first..) Luckily, the girl has as much as a chatty conscience as the jock does and wind up hitting the road together.
Pretty strange for a film made in 1962 for kids to be dressed as greasers and bobbisoxers, listening to swingish jazz music. And if you believe that the people acting in this film are under 21, well, then this is the film for you. Reccomended!
